It started with an MRI. The hospital billed $18,339 for a routine scan. After insurance, the patient's share came to $5,413. An imaging center two miles away charged $475 cash for the same scan, and nobody mentioned that was an option.
We looked for a way to see the real price before booking. It didn't exist. Every search led to vague ranges, insurance-speak, or "call for pricing" dead ends.
So we decided to build it. Prismed shows you the full bundled cash price for imaging and lab tests before you book. No split bills, no surprises.
Healthcare pricing should work like everything else: you see the price, you decide, you pay. That's it.
Price transparency is where we start. The longer goal is a companion for the whole diagnostic journey: AI that reads your referral, finds the right price, books the visit, explains your results in plain language, and sends them back to your doctor.
